COADC Membership

The COADC is comprised of over 130 men and women who are committed to enhancing educational programs, cooperation, and understanding between Texas A&M University and the agricultural community. The primary focus of the COADC is support of undergraduate students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University. Members are involved in recruiting students, raising scholarship funds, and serving as agribusiness advisors to the Dean for the enhancement of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Council members are an enthusiastic and energetic group which are also active in program requests of the various components of The Agriculture Program.  Click here to view a list of current COADC Members.

General commitments for membership include attendance at two semi-annual meetings each year and a financial commitment of $1,000 per year towards the operating expenses and goals of the COADC, including endowed scholarships and financial support to student organizations.  Members also pay for the actual expense of meetings and activities through registration fees.

The Council is also organized committees as determined by their strategic plan goals.  In 2006, the Council saw a need for organization of it's activities through a strategic plan. These committees allow members to assist the College in areas of their own interest. The committees are as follows:
Goal 1: Major Projects
Goal 2: Member Recruitment
Goal 3: Marketing and Communications
Goal 4: Relationships between COADC and TAMU and the TAMU System
